Background: The Greifensee regatta is organized by the rowing clubs from Zürich. Nordiska is also part of the organization, and therefore this is our "home regatta" even if it is not on the Zürich lake where our boat house is situated. Because the regatta is only two weeks before the swiss championships, it is also the last big test to see if your training is "on schedule"... Nordiska entered once again the Masters eights. Again only one other team to compete against - Rowing Club Baden. Last year in the swiss championships we were faster than them, but obviously this year they had a younger and stronger team. When watering the boats - we were doing this at the same time as Baden - they asked us "Didn't you have a party last night?". Sebastian answered in the most natural way - "Of course...". You could see the confidence in their eyes, and they all smiled. Of course this made us a little nervous also, but what they didn't know is that beer is like fuel for Nordiska rowers... At the end we won the race clearly 11 seconds ahead of Baden...
